Janvier Butera

Janvier is the Head of Risk and Compliance at Centrika Ltd. He is a Certified Operational Risk Manager, and he is a member of the International Academy of Business and Financial Management (IABFM), accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

In his role, Janvier leads the implementation of Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance across the organization. With over 11 years of experience in the banking sector, including Risk Management and Internal Control. Before joining Centrika Ltd, Janvier held key positions in various banks, including serving as an Internal Controller in the Internal Control department and as an Operational Risk in the Risk Department at Ecobank Rwanda Plc. He also managed Operational Risk at Access Bank Rwanda Plc.

Janvier holds a bachelor’s degree in Law and has completed specialized training, including Rwanda Academic Finance (RAF1 & RAF2), Basel II & III Implementation, ICAAP, Capital Management and Stress testing which has further enhanced his expertise and understanding of the financial industry.
